Love Bites REVIEW

By Ellen Schreiber

As a mortal girl dating a vampire, Raven knows that love isn't always easy. Now that Alexander's parents have returned to Romania, Raven and her dreamy vampire boyfriend are happy to resume their cryptic romance.

But soon another visitor comes knocking: Sebastian, Alexander's best friend, arrives for a stay at the mansion. At first Raven is wary, then thrilled—this is the perfect chance to learn more about her darkly handsome boyfriend and his past. Raven has been wondering whether Alexander will ever bite her and make their love immortal, and Sebastian could be her guide to the love habits of Alexander and his kind. But when Sebastian falls for a particular Dullsvillian, will another mortal beat Raven to the bite?

With suspense, danger, and a fabulous vampire party, this seventh book in the bestselling Vampire Kisses series continues the exciting nocturnal romance of Raven and Alexander.

Plot:
The way this book was written was well, though somewhat lacking in plot. This book wasn’t as edgy as the last six in the series. We did get to learn more about Alexander and how he felt about Raven, but that was basically it. We all knew that Raven wouldn’t get turned into a vampire in this book but we couldn’t help but hope that she would, and that was what kept us on our toes.

Characters:
There was a lot of character development in the book. I really enjoyed reading about the character, especially Alexander and Sebastian. Reading about how Alexander felt about Raven is what made this nook most interesting.

Writing:
The writing was done fairly well. What else to expect from Ellen Schreiber who so easily manages to capture us with her alluring words. Raven’s spunky Goth lingo and the natural way Schreiber shows details through her writing is amazing.

Setting:
As always, the setting is in Dullsville. I never get tired of reading about the town Raven lives in. Dullsville is the one place where Raven would never fit in, which makes the fact that she lives there all so interesting.

Cover:
The cover is beautiful. Although I’m not sure how it correlates with the story. I’m guessing that it’s a picture of Raven. I think they use a different model for every book.

Recommendation:
I would definitely recommend you to read this, but only if you’ve read the first 6 or else you’ll be completely lost.
