Showcase Sunday # 19 (I'm Still Alive & Kicking)

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme that showcases new books (or bookish items) you've received, borrowed or bought hosted by Vicki @ Books, Biscuits & Tea.

First off, I haven't died. School, exams, and the whole hoopla is finally over with now. (Thank goodness!) Which means more time for books! (If only you can see how excited I am right now...I've been so deprived...). Which also translates into more material for blog posts. Plus I have some exciting upcoming giveaways to tell you about which includes an assortment of some pretty amazing signed swag....literally the best swag bag I've ever seen. (You'll see pics of them below)

Book # 1
Auracle by Gina Rosati ARC + Awesome Swag Bags
Release Date: August 7th 2012
Source: Author

I must admit that I am a little bias about the cover of this book because I have an obsession with the color blue. Since pre-school every time we had to pick a color I ran to grab the blue before the boys could steal all of them because they denounced every other color as being too girly. And the cover for AURACLE is glaring, oozing, the color blue. My reaction: Can. Not. Resist. I can't wait to dive into this story! I hope my hunch was right that this isn't just a book with a pretty cover.

Swag: When I found out Gina handmade the chain on the bookmark I was felt so touched. I LOVE handmade crafty things. The swag bags also included other things like braclets, magnets, pins, which all came in a little blue bag. Since there were 3 swag bags I will be giving away the others. LOOK out for AURACLE'S REVIEW because I will most likely attach the *giveaway to the end of its post. Thank you Gina!

  2. AURACLE!!!!!

I've read P&P and The Poisonwood Bible, and they're both absolute favorites. The Kite Runner was good, so I have high hopes for A Thousand Splendid Suns. Good choices!

This week I had two book haul posts, one for my BEA books and one for my regularly scheduled post.

  4. Auracle sounds really good and I'm really excited for that one! Also haven't read any of the books that are for your summer reading. I have seen the movie for Pride and Prejudice and have studied Jane Austen a lot but I'm ashamed to say I still haven't read it. Hope you enjoy your books!
