COVER REVEAL! Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa

Julie Kagawa has became one of my all time favorite YA authors after I read her Iron Fey Series. Her writing is addictive. Like chocolate, only slightly better. I could honestly open up a book of hers and trust her to give me an engaging read that I'll never forget, and never want to stop reading. All of her books have been one-sitters for me. I'm a little worried about how her new book series Blood of Eden will be like compared to the Iron Fey but I trust Julie to once again blow me away with her addictive and page-turning writing.

Sooo without furthur ado the cover of IMMORTAL RULES (Blood of Eden # 1)

..

It's creeptastic and vampiric-looking--but in a good way. I'm really really looking forward to reading this book. :)

What do you think of the cover?

  1. So your recommendation has further encouraged me to start the Iron Fey series. O really need to read those books (if only I had more time on my hands). And the book cover for The Immortal Rules is uber-creepy. Instantly added it to my to-reads pile. Thanks for sharing!!

  2. @Mary Rae I can't wait to hear what you think of it when you do! The first book is a little slow but the rest of the series had me on an emotional rollercoaster. I've re read the series more time than I could count. ;)

  4. I read, I fall in love with at least one male character. Well, I'm admitting right here that I have my very first girl crush on a character. Allie is so kickass that she totally overshadowed any of the boys in this book. I like characters in a lot of books, some series the main female character is annoying but let me tell you, Allie is so far from annoying. She's fiesty and snarky. If she's insulted she dishes right back with no hesitation at all. She's so positive for her entire life being hell. She's not too serious but fierce when she needs to be. She is lethal with that sword (katana) of hers. As if being a vampire wouldn't be scary enough but that sword is like an extension of herself, which is how she describes it.

Romance is a big thing for me, in any book, YA or not. This book is not filled with romance however, it didn't need it. I'm serious. The story, the characters, the action - it was plenty to satisfy my romance cravings. But, it's there. There is romance and it's a building romance which makes it that much better. None of this instant love nonsense. It's true and more importantly, it's true to the characters. There's even two guys but don't worry, no love triangle. Confused, are we? Well - you'll just have to read the book to see exactly what I mean!
