Top Ten Tuesday: Books I'd Want On A Deserted Island

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created and hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Meme banner creds to this post

Wow. You know, I've actually thought about this question just about a billion times. And honestly, it can't be confined to one book because books lead to series, and series lead to multiple volumes. But for the sake of simplicity lets consider one whole series to be equal to one book. Because, let's face it, there is NO WAY I'm being locked on an island with a copy of The Goblet of Fire and not have my copy of The Deathly Hallows right there next to me. There's really just no way

Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

I saw the movie this weekend and it was phenomenal. How could I ever live with myself if I saw the movie, got stuck on a deserted island, and still haven't had a chance to read this book?

The Iron Fey Series [Box Set] by Julie Kagawa

The Iron Fey books are one of my favorite young adult series' of all time and I hope to re read them many times over again in the future. How could I anyone ever get stuck on an island without bringing Ash and Puck along for the ride? I sure as heck wouldn't.

Divergent & Insurgent [Box Set] by Veronica Roth
I'd use the knowledge of all the factions to help me survive on this deserted island. If I have to climb a wicked tall tree to grab a coconut  but I'm too afraid to, I'll pretend I'm a Dauntless and brave up. OR I'll pretend to be an erudite an invent something to shake all the coconuts off the tree.

The Harry Potter Series [Box Set] by J K Rowling

This one really goes without saying. I'd have a panic attack and suffocate if these weren't around. That's why I don't let anyone borrow my HP books. I literally can't function without its presence around me.

Vampire Academy [Box Set] by Richelle Mead
I think I can survive anything after reading about Rose's badassery. A tropical rainstorm with freaking lightening and end-of-the-world sounding thunder bolts? No problem. Rose could do it, so can I. (Hehe...not really *Hides underneath the coconut tree* )

The Duff by Kody Kepplinger

For reals now, who could survive a deserted island without Wesley Rush? This dialogue in this book is so hilarious, the jokes would never get old.

The Hunger Games [Box Set] by Suzanne Collins

I think I could definitely learn a thousand things a thing or two about roughing it in the wild from Katniss. She's such a natural at it. Now I'll just need to find that bow and arrow we have hidden in the attic...

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

Simply because there's nothing more I would like than to read this over again. The characters are such sweethearts

The Lord of the Rings [Box Set] by Tolkien

I've been wanting to read these for the longest time. Now that I'm trapped on a island I might as well start reading it as there's now all this awesome free time on my hands.

The Zombie Survival Guide: Complete Protection from the Living Dead

...Because you never know when the Zombie Apocalypse is coming. Best to be prepared. I have a good feeling zombies like deserted islands with crystal waters and pristine beaches just as much as the next person.
