On Blogging: Staying Organized

I’m not the best at staying organized when it comes to blogging. Recently, I’ve tried scheduling my posts weeks in advance so that they’d post themselves while I was away at school or something. Now I’m trying this new approach for staying organized and coming up with new ideas for posts.

And here’s what I’ve found……Printables!! And lots of them.

I saw someone who created a “Blog Planner” out of some store-bought items and I thought – What an awesome idea! Why hadn’t I thought of that?

Jolanthe from homeschoolcreations.net made a “Yearly Blog Planner”. She used a flexible meadbinder, some tabs, and some printables she made. You can download the printables by heading over to her site. [click here]

Here are just some blog planner printables others have made that I thought were pretty good about helping you keep track of posts, notes, and ideas for future posts. I personally would choose one design that I like a lot, print out a good amount of copies, and stick them into a nice little binder.  You can also download these by clicking the links below and heading over to the planner makers' sites.

Okay so this one is my favorite! I printed out a copy today and it's pretty neat and works best for me and my blog. I love it!

  1. I'm terrible at being organised too! I got a 2013 diary, just a normal kind of pocket-sized one, and so I decided to use it to try and keep up to date with my blogging...it's kind of working...?? ANyway all these printables are so cute, thanks so much for sharing! :D

  2. Well, my best way to stay organized is to not organize :p I just like to do whatever I want. I don't participate in things like cover reveals of blog tours and the only thing I need to remember is to download my Netgalley books in time - and I keep track by posting notes virtual on my screen. But they look great and I'm happy you found a way that works for you!

    1. Thanks! Lol, well I don't really use the planner to plan promotional posts (because those already come with dates so I usually just schedule them on blogger). I use it just to come up with new ideas for future posts, and really just to remind myself what I should be doing on certain days.

  4. Holy crap, people have binders? *mind blown* I feel so inadequate now.

My only way of staying up to date is regular old Google Calendar. I especially like that I can drag and drop items to different dates if I don't feel like reading that book/writing that review now. I am all for tools that promote procrastination.

I am trying the scheduling of posts for the first time this week. I have all my posts planned and ready to go. So now I am sitting here, twiddling my thumbs. Kind of boring without that mad scramble to make a deadline.

    1. I know EXACTLY how you feel Lindie! I actually kind of miss the mad scramble. Google docs is good but I couldn't really follow the calendar all that well. Having an actual physical copy of the planner motivates me a little more and it's easier for me to access in general.

  5. I have a problem with losing my calendar...!! But the pages you shared look fantastic! Maybe there'll be hope for me, yet. ;-)
